Adeo Group brings to the market the new line of frame screens, named “Plano”, designed specifically for Home Theater applications. Plano is a result of a very
careful engineering with following goals: improve the perceived contrast of the images that are projected, garanteed perfect and constant tension of the screen
material over time, create a screen frame with very pleasant and innovative design, and offer greater flexibility during the installation.
One of the principal characteristics of the new range of Plano Screen is the design and realization of the Hi-ContrastFrame®. Contrast and Black level are
among the most important factors to create stunning images that can recreate the Cinema experience at home. The perceived contrast of a image that is
projected is greatly influenced by the colour and brightness of the surrounding area of the screen. That is why usually the frame that support the screen is
covered with black material that absorbs any “overscan” light projected on it. For maximum perceived image contrast, this area should be completely black, so
we have selected the most light-absorbing black velvet available to cover the frame. But we also went further with our Hi-ContrastFrame® design: since there
is no perfect light absober, and considering that projectors are getting constantly brighter and projecting more “overscan” light on the frame, we carefully designed
the frame shape so that it would reflect any non-absorbed light away from the audience, resulting it the darkest frame possible, and thus maximising the
perceived contrats of the projected image.
