Boxlight CP-310t Reviews

User Reviews
Haim Tebeka - Apr 1, 2002

Application: Home Theater
What I Like: Small size and has a good set of features. Resolution and brightness is increadible for the price of this unit.
Comments: As I mentioned in my first review, I did some additional tests of the unit in better conditions. The results were from very satisfying to amazing! The issues I had before were due to bad quality DVDs. I noticed that many Fox DVDs have compression artifacts and a lot of noise in dark scenes. Other DVDs do not have these problems. As a result, I am fairly confident that the problems observed earlier were due to bad DVDs. So, overall, for the price, this unit is a great LCD projector for Home Theaters...

Application: Home Theater
What I Like: This projector was bought to replace my old Sharp LCD projector (a 300 lumens VGA proj). So my only point of reference is my old projector. The 310t is much smaller and quieter than the Sharp. This is a big plus fo me since I could hide in in a bookshelf now. Also, 2000 Lumens will allow me to keep a dim light on at all times. This is nice for Home Theater settings. Of course, high resolution and multi standard support is a great advantage of this unit. I have a few PAL DVDs that, until now, I could watch only in B&W. Overall, I got a good impression of the 310t
Comments: * Picture quality:
The picture quality of the 310T is really nice. Yet, the contrast seems quite poor compared to my old projector. Black tends to be gray. Well, I should mention that in my rush to try it, I projected the image on a brownish wall. Still, I don't think it will make much of a difference for contrast. Regardless, I will do more tests later in better conditions and will post the results.

* Remote Control
The remote control's mouse is too sensitive when using the projector's menu. Choosing menu items and setting values can be a chalenge as a result.

Overall, my old Sharp projector seems to be a better quality product. The 310t, however offers a lot for the money...
