For the mobile presenter this is the ultimate tool. The unit offers extended features such as digital zoom, picture-in-picture, presentation effects, freeze frame and logo capture which gives even a boring dry presentation some pizzaz. In fact it gave me some confidence and some tools to bring my presentation to a more effective level. The weight and size are ideal, in fact Epson offer a carrying case that holds both the laptop and projector (with room for files, cables, etc.) in one self contained presentation package. Furthermore, as colour is critical to my presentations the DLP machines were out of the question as thier colour accuracy was brutal. |

The only thing I would like to see is a computer output, so when running of a desk top I can loop out to a local monitor. Fortuneately, many cheap VGA splitters are available which enable me to do so however, it is one more item to carry. Beyond this one non critical item I find the machine to be a presenters best and most effective choice to showcase thier message. |

Epson tend to make it hard for thier dealers to give after sale support, which means if you have a good relationship with your dealer they tend to get pinched out of any service equation. However, the support of the product is comprehensive and effeciently carried out. |

This is a great little unit, light weight for the functionality and features it has.
I thought the brightness was good, color edge to edge was great, and even though epson isnt
known for great customer service or dealer service I like the roadside assistance that you get
plus me dealer if I can't get one from epson fast enough will lend me one until I get my replacement.

Everyone who compares it to the plus is crazy. I would rather have the LCD display, 2000 rated hours
of use (over the 1000 on the plus) and 5.8 lbs... whats the plus? 9 lbs ughhhhh |

I just read a review of the Epson 710c in an advanced copy of the periodical Mobile Computing. They like the simplicity of the unit and the image quality. Their tests of the unit revealed that the 710c is only putting out 820 ansi lumens and has a 75% corner to corneruniformity. This is different from the awesome numbers in the specifications. This explains why two of my customers shot the 710c and a PLUS U2-1080 out, and neither of them could identify a difference in brightness. The U2-1080 has honest specs, a better contrast ratio, and a better form. How is it going to look when Plus introduces the U2-1100 at a true 1000 ansi lumens?
I was also excited to see an ad in that publication for the Plus U3-1080. I am not sure when the June issue of this mag will hit the streets, but you can also find it at http://www.mobilecomputing.com/ although they are still promoting the May issue. |

This product is one of the nicest projectors I have ever seen.
The color saturation and edge to edge brightness is tremendous.
Picture in Picture is a standard feature on this product which is not usually found
on ultrportable projectors.
The remote control and special effects built into the projector work flawlessly.
As a dealer, I have been selling, installing and servicing this type of
equipment for over 10 years. I never hesitate to recommend Epson
projectors because of their terrific past track record.

I would only consider a different product if you need a local monitor redrive port
built into the projector. This unit does not include that feature. |

So far my experience with this projector has been terrible. I have had five of these sent to me so
far, an I am waiting for my sixth. Each one has suffered from several large pieces of dust on one
or all of the lcd panels resulting in various colored spots being projected. The last two have come to me
with significant scratches on the lens. While I think this might potentially be a very good
projector, so far it seems that they have horrible quality control and/or the filter they are using
is not doing its job of keeping dust from the panels. I cannot recommend anyone purchasing this
projector as of now. |
