The outstanding feature of any Rear Projection facility is its ability to produce images of the highest quality even in areas of high ambient light. Whereas front projection works by reflection, rear projection works by transmission. This feature alone is what makes RP suitable for use in high ambient light environments.
Rear projection also allows the projector to be removed from the viewing room thereby creating a neat, uncluttered and functional room. Additionally the fan noise and light leakage from the projector are eliminated.
