| What I Like: |
The thing I liked about the marantz vp-600 was it was cheap and on my wall it came to the size of 3m diagonal. The picture quality was ok but not the best(for the price you pay who can complain). The size was good and the usage of cheap globes was good to( but there is also a catch ). It became very annoying when I had to replace the globe every 40 hours. It also became annoying when dust got into the unit( mind you after I finished using it and letting it cool down overnight I packed it back into my box) which became very annoying on screen and it costed me $80AU to get it cleaned every 3 months. The unit is only good for the person who would like to watch one movie a week on the big screen. |

My first suggestion for makers of this projector is to make it easy for the people to clean there own lcd screens. Use a better long lasting globe with the same or near retail price. |

I reckon if Marantz did as I suggested I wouldn't have sold my projector to buy a rear projector, because I didn't mind the resoulution so much. If you see one in the store bargain! Bargain with the salesman. I just like to say that in Australia front projectors cost so much minimun $6000AU for a basic brand. I was lucky to buy that at $1650AU in a retail shop here in Australia. |
