Excellent colors, resolution and all the inputs you'll need (exception: DVI, Firewire). You really get a great bang for your buck with this model because it is not expensive at all. It is relatively quiet and small-framed. Setup is a breeze. I projected onto a 100" 1.3 gain fixed screen and had no noticeable screen-door effect at 13 feet. Hot-spotting was noticeable but that's not the projector's fault, only the screen. It was not a detraction though. |

Play with the menu completely. You will be pleasantly surprised to find out how many options you really have in the menu. Plus, you can customize "user" menus. |

The only two things that rubbed me the wrong way are: 1) Minor Problem: You cannot hook up the S-Video cable at the same time as the Composite Video cable. If you do, the unit will not recognize the existence of the Composite input. Not a good scenario if you want or need this type of setup. I did and I didn't like having to get up there and disconnect cables all the time. 2) Major Problem: All LCD projectors have an inherent problem with pixels. Each company has their own policy as to how many pixels their panels can have as an "acceptable" amount. For Mitsu, this magic number is three. I have one "on blue" pixel which is great, according to Mitsu. The problem is, IT'S TWO INCHES FROM THE DEAD CENTER OF THE SCREEN! It only shows up on dark scenes but it is a definite distraction. I lost a lot of time, patience, hair and shipping funds with their customer service department. It was a hard lesson to learn. My advice, from experience, buy any LCD projector with the ability to return or exchange it if this anomaly is inherent on your particular unit. Trust me, you do NOT want this scenario. It detracts from the bliss of having your own dedicated home theater. Good luck to all of you! |
