Bright, quiet, micro lens array, component video, 4000 hour bulb life in low light mode (this is the mode I use and it is plenty bright, can hardly see the pixels, 3-year guarantee, GREAT PRICE !!! |

The remote is pretty small. It would have been nice if Panasonic had included a full size remote. Also need to fashion (or buy) a break out connector to convert the 15 pin connector to 3 RCA plugs for component video. This is about a 20 minute job. |

I had been looking for quite some time for an affordable projector for home theater use. However, every projector I liked was in the $10,000 range. One day I went into Tierney Brothers store and they had about a dozen projectors of different brands set up side by side. This was great for comparison. Without a doubt, the Panasonic PT-L711XU blew the others away. What was really suprising is that I thought the picture was better and brighter than even the new Sharp 9000 DLP that I had seen the week before at another store. This projector is a real gem. I don't understand why this projector would not be on the top of any recommended list. I'll write a follow-up review after I have had it a year. |
