| Application: |
Home Cinema |
| What I Like: |
Compact & transportable. Choice of RCA, S-Video & RGB connections. 16x9 facility |
| Suggestions: |
A 15-pin to 3 RCA lead (for RGB connection) surely would not have broken Mr Sony's back. |

My first projector, this unit puts out a VERY impressive picture. Although it's main task is displaying a DVD image, computer output looks marvellous.
Viewing is certainly possible in "daytime" conditions (not ideal for home cinema of course but none too shabby all things considered). I'm projecting onto a white-painted wall so am not getting the best quality pic insofar as contrast & brightness integrity go but tdespite this the picture is STILL impressive.
The unit puts out a bit of noise - a lot more than when the unit was brand new - so potential home theatre buyers should consider a baffle of some sort.
I have yet to see any instances of "chicken wire" (I'm about twelve feet back from my screen).
The only issue I have with the unit is the cost of a replacement bulb which I think is opportunistically extortionate on the part of the financially flush Sony Corporation at $800 (Australian dollar). |

Size, value, look, features, ease of use. |

could come with the home theater in mind, for example a s-vhs lead would have been better for me than all of the other leads (but you cant please everyone) |

This unit is very easy to use, after taking it out of the box I had a movie projected in a matter of seconds. It has great picture clarity and the colours are spot on. |
