I got the chance to view both projector side by side for about 30 mins watching the same test material - Dark Knight on various scences. My view is that the Sony is better in showing off the shadow details. And the shiny day scene looks like cloudy days on the Sony as well. It seems to me that the Panny provide more consistent performance of the 2. (my choice).
