Lamp Wattage

Most of the twenty XGA projectors in this study have 120-watt lamps. Two of the brightest models have 150-watt lamps. However, the InFocus 435z (and its private-label equivalents from Kodak and Boxlight) has a comparatively large 270-watt lamp. You should bear in mind that a 270-watt lamp will throw off more than double the heat of a 120-watt lamp. In a small conference room populated by a number of people, this additional heat is enough to raise the ambient temperature. And since a warm room can make people uncomfortable or sleepy, it may not be conducive to the most effective presentations.

On the other hand, if you typically present in a larger room, or one with adequate air conditioning control, the heat dissipation from your projector will not be an issue.
