Samsung Galaxy Beam--the smartphone with the built in pico projector has finally hit the UK and is making its way toward markets here in the US...although we still don't know when.

This is only the beginning of what was imagined in 2009 when picos exploded onto the scene. Although we have not seen the phone yet, the information out there suggests that the built in pico projector is the reason for all the hubbub. It projects with 15 lumens so it is for the traveling presenter looking to make impromptu presentations. Android Authority's Adrian Diaconescu speculated the phone would likely appeal the most to mobile professionals who need a "light slideshow assistant."

Whatever the case may be, we'll be sure to get one in for review and bring our unique perspective from the projector world.
