I am a repeat customer of Visual Apex. My original purchase was an Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 8500UB projector 4 years ago. My most recent purchase was the much upgraded projector, the Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 5030UB projector. The projector arrived within 5 days in an undamaged box and thus began my tremendous experience with it.

Prior ordering the projector, I completed weeks of review on the product on the Internet. Once I decided that the projector was the right one for me, I opted to use Visual Apex again for my purchase because of its excellent customer service, ease of navigating its website and my past experience with the company.

“I just happened to click on the visual apex link while reading a review of the projector I had decided on for my 1st Home Theatre project at a popular review site. I had done my research and knew what I wanted and was impressed with the pricing. What blew me away was the customer service, product knowledge and insight I found.

It didn't end there either, after the sale I was called by a rep to be certain everything was good with my purchase and then a week later I received a nice dust cover and sticker with a letter thanking me for my business.

In this day and age of pumping your own gas, bagging your own groceries and non existent customer service it's rare to find exceptional product knowledge coupled with pre and post sale customer service and support.”

I was upgrading my (2002) Epson projector & while searching online, came upon Visual Apex web page, so glad that I did, I got a low price on Epson 3020 projector, bought it, great customer service follow up afterwards, projector is super right out of the box, no adjustments were needed, & I highly recommend Visual Apex to anyone-GG

I just purchased an Epson 8350 refurb.
I've purchased two projectors from Visual Apex. I was pleased that during this recent purchase they were just has helpful and responsive as they were 7 or 8 years ago. They really break the barriers of typical online purchasing and add a personal touch. It's very refreshing and instills confidence...especially when you are buying relatively expensive products.

On 12/2/2013 I replaced my old Epson Home Cinema 6100 with a refurbished Epson Home Cinema 5020UB and have been very pleased so far .
The order arrived quickly and the setup was quick and easy (just took the place of the old unit).
The image quality is noticeably better and we are looking forward to the longer lamp life.

I ordered the Benq w1070 package deal. It came with the projector a 100 inch electric screen a ceiling mount and a few other items. I'm very happy with the purchase.
It shipped quickly, everything works great, and Visual apex actually contacted me through email after everything arrived to ask if it arrived ok and if I had any questions about operating the equipment.
I did a lot of research before purchasing a projector and they were the only ones that had a package deal with the projector I wanted within my budget. Definitely 5 out of 5.

I ordered a home theater projector from Visual Apex about two weeks ago. When the shipment arrived, I found it was assembled in poor conditions (manufacture's problme, nothing to do with Visual Apex). I called their customer support number and a support person picked up the phone in 3 seconds. She asked about the situation and instructed me to send it back with a prepaied lable attached in an email she sent me as we talk on the phone. In the afternoon of the next day, the same day I sent out the returned projector, an email arrived from Visual Apex saying that a replacement has been shiped out via FedEx.! Truely amasing service!!!

As one can read below, the correspondence with Visual Apex is great until there is a problem {Correspondence deleted by Projector Central} We had to call them because they did not respond promptly. Then it's "oh we're sorry you have to deal with the manufacturer". What a waste of my time. I don't know why they offer customer service if they can't assist a customer with a defective product. As a customer, all I want to hear is we are sorry. Another one is on the way and we will handle this until you are satisfied. I can't exactly get a "face to face " with them, so they simply don't care. They have my money. They are simply a middle man vendor and if things don't go well the customer just pays and pays and pays for it. I miss real stores where accountability is a reality. See attached letter and beware of doing business with Visual Apex.

Following up on the install. I completed the project today on my first day off in weeks for the Labor Day weekend. I have been looking forward to this moment for a long time. I have a significant investment of my time, care and money into this. I went to great lengths to ensure proper line conditioned and surge protected power for my new gear. Proper placement and ventilation too of course. The works. I turn it on and have to say I am very disappointed. The fan noise is so loud it must be defective. See attached audio file. I have experience with this type of project and use great care. So I know it is not an issue with my set up. I use an Onkyo 5009 and Audessey would not even calibrate the speaker set because of "ambient noise error". Which is crazy because my theater setting is like an anechoic chamber. Four pane windows with two inch air space, double stack fire grade drywall and a solid core door. We're talking bullet proof soundstage here. I measured 58db fan noise at the machine and I think it's because the blades are rubbing the housing but I can't see far enough into the unit with a flashlight to confirm. I have two friends with these units and they say theirs are very quiet, and they sit right under them. Quality control is all I can think of. I am unhappy with this and will be sending it back. Please call me at xxx-293-xxxx as I would like specific instructions on expediting an exchange. The wait for the first one was long.

Wow... Went to best buy first for the 5020ub but it seemed all the employees were just way to busy talking to each other to help me. Even after I asked if they had it in stock they showed no interest in my huge purchase.

I went home and ordered from visual apex and WOW great price free shipping and great customer service.. This is the only place I will go for my future projector needs.. I also used projector central for all my research in choosing a projector...

Phone answered by knowledgeable person. Transferred to a tech who new the projector I was inquiring about. I felt very comfortable dealing and purchasing with this company and would certainly give them a score of 10+ on followup after the sale. By the way they did have the best price on the product I was shopping for look no further.

I decided to buy an Epson 8700 projector based upon a number of reviews, but by the time I was ready to purchase one the model had been discontinued. I spent quite a while looking for secondary sources. I did not want to buy a used one because of the uncertainty concerning their history and condition, but I found several sites offering "refurbished" Epson projectors. I soon discovered, however, that "refurbished" did not necessarily mean refurbished by Epson; upon reading the fine print of some of the sites offering "refurbished" Epson projectors, I discovered that several were refurbished by a company other than Epson or were simply cleaned up by the reseller. Also, while some claimed to have replaced the projector lamp with a new one, on further inquiry the lamp turned out to be manufactured by another company of apparently uncertain reputation.

After deciding to purchase the projector from a company dealing in genuine Epson-refurbished projectors with new Epson lamps, I selected Visual Apex l because of its low price and seemingly good reputation. I placed the order, and Visual Apex had the projector shipped to me by Epson directly from an Epson warehouse.

It was a couple of weeks after receiving projector that I was able to get time to set it up. I was very disappointed to find that the lenses were badly out of alignment -- not by a couple of pixels but by about half an inch over a 10 foot projection. I telephoned Visual Apex and spoke with their customer relations representatives about the problem. They were surprised, but very sympathetic and helpful, giving me an authorization number to have the projector returned (without cost to me) by Federal express to the Epson facility, and told me they would have a replacement sent by Epson immediately without waiting for the first to be returned. Within an hour or so I received an e-mail from Epson notifying me that the new projector was on it's way and setting forth the tracking information. Unfortunately, I noticed that the model number listed by Epson in the notice was one digit off. I again telephoned Visual Apex and described the new problem. Within a couple of hours I received a call back from another Visual Apex representative, who said that she had turned around the package in mid-shipment so I would not be bothered with its arrival, that she had spoken to the responsible Epson representative, and that a proper replacement would be en route promptly.

The replacement unit arrived within a couple of days. It proved to be perfect -- the alignment was not even one pixel off at a 10 foot projection.

I am particularly pleased not only by the quality of the projected image produced by the projector but by the unusually competent assistance accorded by the Visual Apex representatives, Alice and Jocelyn, when problems - not of Visual Apex's making - arose.

We purchased a Christie LX605 and a short throw optional lens from Visual Apex. I worked exclusively with Jim Jacobson who was very attentive to my questions and concerns. He actually read the emails and unlike polititions answered the questions rather responding with a sells pitch. The projector worked great and the display is bright and extremely criap. The only thing that had me worried was the manual said the remote had an effective range of six feet which would be totally unacceptable. In reality it works well at 55 feet and probably further. If the need arises to purchase another projector Visual Apex will be the first and only place I contact.

I purchased a Panasonic PT-AE8000 on 11/9/2012 from VisualApex. I received confirmation that the order was received almost immediately. Within a day or two, I had still not received a shipping/tracking notificaiton, so I called about it. They answered the phone quickly and told me it had been shipped, but the e-mail notification must have been lost. The projector arrived within 3-4 days of ordering with the standard shipping, and everything looks great!
