Samsung Techwin has announced some exciting programs for 2013
Calling them "‘Return on Intelligence’ Gift Programs," Samsung seeks to reward the use of digital technology in scholastic pursuits through grants, scholarships and it's "Superhero" competition. Two programs are for students, and the other is for teachers.
Samsung's Superhero Program is a video competition in which students are asked to portray their favorite historical character. There are two Superhero Program competitions for the year (Winter/Spring and Summer/Fall) and each student who wins gets $500 and their class receives a SAMCAM 760 document camera.
The scholarship program gives students a chance to win a $1000 scholarship for a 300 word essay answering the question "What do you think about technology advancements and how they will change the way we learn in the future? Is it for the better?"
Samsung's grant program is earmarked for teachers requiring them to write a "fun" lesson plan. The top 20 finalists will be notified and asked to submit a video showing their lesson plan in the classroom with the SAMCAM 760. Ten winners will then be chosen based on their final video submission. Winners will be chosen from their submitted video.
