The Panasonic PT-LB50U is another projector that, while sized for mobile presentation, retains an impressive feature set. With built-in wireless connectivity, 3,000 hours of lamp life regardless of lamp mode, and a switchable 2nd VGA in / monitor passthrough, the LB50U has some crossover potential for education as well as very good flexibility in the mobile presentation market.
In dynamic mode, the LB50U puts out 1700 ANSI lumens on the nose, and brightness uniformity is 91%. In low lamp mode with color optimized, lumen output drops to 808 ANSI. Contrast is only 400:1, which means that text and spreadsheets will look good while applications such as photography and video may appear dull. However, color is vibrant and accurate, so if you do need to display photography, the projector will perform well in that regard.
