Panasonic Introduces Next-Generation Three-Chip DLP Large Venue ProjectorsNew PT-DZ12000U and PT-D12000U Delivers Outstanding High-Brightness and Superior Image Quality with Compact 12,000 Lumen Projector Solutions
LAS VEGAS --(Business Wire)-- Jun. 18, 2008 InfoComm Booth #C2401 - Panasonic Projector Systems Company, Unit of Panasonic Corporation of North America, today unveiled its new 12,000 lumen three-chip DLP projectors that set the standard for displaying High Definition content in large venues. The high resolution PT-DZ12000U WUXGA (1920 x 1200 pixels) and PT-D12000U SXGA (1400 x 1050 pixels) models are designed for large venue and rental and staging solutions such as, commercial digital cinema, higher education, corporate and digital advertising customers.
Both the PT-DZ12000U and PT-D12000U include new, built-in edge blending and a geometric adjustment feature that enables both projectors to deliver dynamic warping capability and presentation solutions. Edge blending, used primarily for the rental and staging market, makes it possible to overlap multiple images to create a single larger image, thus enabling users to project images on oversized screens for large audiences. The Panasonic Projectors' easy to operate geometric adjustment feature makes warping images to be projected on curved surfaces possible, making these new projectors ideal solutions for museums with amphitheaters and other similar-type settings.
Panasonic picture quality for the PT-DZ12000U and PT-D12000U are also supported by a new Detail Clarity Processor. The projector's new Detail Clarity Processor analyzes frequency characteristics of each frame and applies necessary sharpness at varying degrees to create natural, life-like images with exceptional clarity.
The System Daylight View function uses an image processing circuit to compensate for the loss of color saturation that occurs when light reflects onto the screen from bright surroundings. This feature is especially effective for producing crisp, sharp images in dark portions containing gradation.
"Displaying HD content in large venues requires impeccable image quality, reliability and ease of installation and use," said Thomas Zitelli, president of Panasonic Projector Systems Company. "The PT-DZ12000U and PT-D12000U offer customer's flexible, state-of-the-art projection solutions with professional quality viewing for hours of extended use."
Ultimate Efficiency and Flexibility
The wide adjustment range for the horizontal and vertical lens shift provides flexibility for easy installations because it assures virtually distortion-free images, while the optional lenses offer different throw distances. It's through these powered zoom/focus lenses that enable the projector to perform in a variety of environments.
Both models, which support PJLink(TM) protocol can be connected to a wired LAN connection, allowing remote control, monitoring, and e-mail alert messaging functions through Web browser. Temperature alarm and burnt-lamp LEDs are also included on each projector, letting operators know exactly where to address maintenance issues.
The Panasonic PT-DZ10000U and PT-D12000U projectors are both made in Japan, Buy American (BAA/TAA) compliant and will be available at authorized presentation systems dealers from August. The manufacturer's MSRP of the PT-DZ12000U is $69,000 and the MSRP of the PT-D12000U is $59,000.
