VIVITEK DEBUTS FIRST SHORT THROW PROJECTOR AT CES

Perfect for Home, Gaming, and Education Venues in Booth #26047

LAS VEGAS, January 8, 2009 – Vivitek Corporation, a leader in the environmentally responsible manufacture of today’s most innovative visual display and presentation products, will be showing its first short throw projector, the D930TX, at this week’s 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show. As with all Vivitek projectors, the new projector is DLP-only technology for the brightest, and clearest performance, especially in those smaller spaces built-to-order for short throw lens capabilities.

“Our new short throw projector eliminates the walk-through that can be distracting when playing a game, watching a presentation, or viewing a film in closer environs,” said David Chiu, Vivitek’s president. “With the new D930TX, the projector is able to be placed close to the screen, about 1M at 76”, and still produce a beautiful, room-sized image without interference.”

Brilliant, with a full 3000-lumens output and a low MSRP of only $2,199, the projector works for classrooms, small conference rooms, or more compact home theater and home gaming applications. The new projector’s 2400:1 contrast ratio with native XGA 1024 x 768 pixels resolution enables high-end performance with crisp, clear imaging.

Ready for home or school use, the D930TX has HDMI and RJ45 connectivity for the industry’s highest video quality and full online compatibility. Because short throw venues are usually closer quarters, the compact, 7.7-pound D930TX is designed with a quiet fan, running only 34dB in economy mode, and also has on-board vertical Keystone correction for even more precise adjustments. Acknowledging Vivitek’s environmental commitment through its consideration for cost-effective and ecologically and energy efficient features, the new projector is built dust- and filter-free, minimizing maintenance and replacement needs and keeping the projector running at top energy efficient levels.

Additional selections of connectivity features on the D930TX include a USB control terminal, and an RS-232C communication port for full integration into classroom environments. The unit comes with its own carrying case for easy transport, and a fully featured IR remote with laser pointer and mouse functions.

Availability, Warranty
Vivitek’s D930TX will be available in first quarter 2009 through authorized Vivitek dealers and distributors nationwide. The projector carries a 3-year limited warranty on parts and labor, a 1-year lamp warranty, and 5-year DLP chip warranty.
