PHILIPS NEW BEST-OF-BREED PROJECTOR DELIVERS A DRAMATIC INCREASE IN BRIGHTNESS AND RESOLUTION
The ProScreen 4750 Impact delivers 1000 ANSI Lumens for bright, detailed, crystal-clear images even in daylight conditions
ATLANTA, February 1, 1999 - Philips Creative Display Solutions today announced the
Philips 4750 Impact, a powerful multimedia projector which features the highest
top-of-the-range brightness of 1000 ANSI Lumens combined with three high resolution XGA
panels. Intended for presenters who need to show pin-sharp detail for applications in
industries such as graphic design, engineering (CAD/CAM) and financial services; the
projector enables audiences to view images in any type of lighting conditions without loss
of picture quality.
Exceptional picture performance results from the 120W Philips UHP lamp that provides
true, bright and natural colors. Light output is virtually constant, with no perceptible
loss of brightness over time and an average life of approximately 4,000 hours per lamp.
This performance is enhanced by the Philips LIMESCO chip which uses a full bitmapping
picture process to prevent picture distortion regardless of signal source. Compatibility
with a wide range of signal formats and resolutions is guaranteed due to fully automatic
MultiScan data input handling, from VGA (640 x 480) to SXGA (1280 x 1024) resolutions,
PAL, SECAM and NSTC. The 4750 Impact offers full connectivity to virtually any device
including PCs and Macs, VCRs, DVD and laser disc players, and digital and video
conferencing cameras.
"Philips has again demonstrated its global leadership in a rapidly developing
market. Aesthetically pleasing, the Philips 4750 Impact stands out from the crowd in
appearance as well as performance," said Hans Webbink, Philips Creative Display
Solutions global marketing and sales manager.
Building on the history of Philips award winning design, this robust, compact projector
offers low fan noise, a built-in loudspeaker for multimedia presentations, an intuitive
graphic user interface and a backlit remote control with an integrated track ball. The
Philips 4750 Impact is also ceiling-mountable to ensure maximum flexibility in meeting
rooms and other locations where it may be used in a fixed position.
