Epson Reduces Price of Its Award-Winning PowerLite 7300 Portable XGA Projector by Nearly 15 Percent
The Epson PowerLite 7300 Provides Remarkable Brightness and Versatility Now for $12,999
TORRANCE, CA February 1, 1999--Epson America Inc., the
world leader in high-performance portable projectors, Monday announced that it has reduced
the price of its award-winning, portable PowerLite 7300 to $12,999 MSRP, nearly 15 percent
off the previous price of $14,999.
Delivering 1200 ANSI lumens, this portable XGA (1024 x 768)
resolution projector provides incredibly bright, finely detailed images.
"The PowerLite 7300 is ideal for presenters who demand
a powerful product with superior technology," said Aaron Marinari, product manager,
video projectors, Epson. "With its award-winning design and new low price point, this
versatile projector is now an even better value for professionals aiming to achieve the
ultimate in presentation quality."
PowerLite 7300 Features
The PowerLite 7300 is one of the brightest three-LCD,
high-performance XGA projectors in its class. Bursting with 1200 ANSI lumens and an
exemplary 300:1 contrast ratio, the PowerLite 7300 utilizes Micro Lens Array (MLA)
technology to increase light throughput.
In addition, a "metal sandwich" between pixels is
used to reduce pixel cross-talk, projecting images with richer colors in crisp, clear
detail. This projector also achieves an impressive 85 percent illumination uniformity
ratio, effectively eliminating hot spots found with other projectors.
Offering native XGA resolution, the PowerLite 7300 also
utilizes Epson's improved SizeWise(TM) resizing technology to seamlessly support SXGA
(1280 x 1024), SVGA (800 x 600) and VGA (640 x 480) display modes. The SizeWise
improvements now allow users to display SXGA computer images as a 5:4 aspect ratio image,
thus, eliminating distortion exhibited when displayed in a 4:3 aspect ratio.
Furthermore, the PowerLite 7300 can now display amorphic
16:9 video images, which is the same widescreen ratio that is used in movie theaters. The
PowerLite 7300 also includes two computer inputs, supporting multiple presenters on two
similar or different computer platforms.
Warranty and Support
The PowerLite 7300 carries a standard two-year warranty and
includes Epson's Private Line and Road Service programs. Through the Private Line,
projector owners can directly access an exclusive expedited support telephone line by
using a phone card that is included with the product.
In the event that a projector should need to be repaired,
Epson's Road Service Program can replace the product within approximately 24 hours. This
service is available for the duration of the warranty.
