MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- March 17, 1999 - Telex Communications, Inc. has added a 10 lb. (4.5 kg) portable projector with 1000 ANSI lumens to its extensive LCD projector line. The lightweight P1000 offers all the presentation power you need in a portable, true XGA (1024x768) Desktop LCD Projector.

This projector merges the two features demanded by most mobile presenters: Super high brightness and extremely light weight specifications. At 10 pounds (4.5 kg) and with 1000 ANSI lumens of projection power, the P1000 XGA Desktop Video Projector guarantees presenters are good to go. It projects images up to 25 feet (7.6 m) diagonally, for even more presentation environment flexibility. In addition to true XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, the P1000 also includes a remote mouse with PC/Mac control, projector control, and on-screen remote (via RS-232). A built-in PC card offers digital camera playback, and an Expand feature allows you to zoom in on a portion of your image in various sizes.

Other standard features include keystone adjustment, multilingual on-screen menus,built-in speaker/amplifier, multiple computer inputs, NTSC/PAL/SECAM/M-PAL/N-PAL/4.43NTSC/PAL-60, DVD, HDTV video, as well as XGA, SVGA, VGA, and SXGA condensed formats. The P1000 is PC and Mac computer compatible and has a convenient carrying handle.

This versatile projector offers up to two video sources, and a mirror/reverse control provides the option for ceiling mount and rear projection. Remote mouse, protective lens cap, CD-ROM for PC Card viewer, and all cables/ adapters included. Dimensions are 10.4"W x 13.4"D x 4.5"H (264mm x 340mm x 115mm). The P1000 will begin shipping in March, 1999, and carries a suggested U.S. retail price of $8,995.00.
