Sharp Brightens XG-E3500U Conference Series LCD Projector
The XG-E3500U High Brightness, Full-Feature Front Projection System is Designed for Large Venues and Custom Installations
ORLANDO, FL.. - June 10, 1999 - Sharp Electronics Corporation today announced a
brightness increase on its XG-E3500U XGA LCD projector. This unit, now with 1500 ANSI
lumens, is specifically designed for large conference rooms, lecture halls and custom
professional installations.
The XG-E3500U provides unmatched flexibility with a wide range of features designed
specifically for the high-end professional/installation market. For example, an RS-232C
interface allows for control directly from a PC or popular control systems such as AMX and
Crestron, and users can directly connect a central RGB switcher using the 5-BNC data
input. In addition, Sharp's power zoom/focus lens with unique motorized lens shift mimizes
'keystoning' in critical installations, making this ceiling mountable projector adaptable
to most any sophisticated conference room or auditorium setting.
"Sharp's convergence-free LCD solutions such as the XG-E3500U, not only reduce
both the cost of installation and maintenance, but also provide superior brightness, image
quality and reliability for large conference rooms and custom professional settings,"
said Jerry Ganguzza, senior marketing manager, Sharp LCD Products Division.
The XG-E3500U offers a full 1500 ANSI lumens of brightness with exceptionally high
contrast and image uniformity. For users looking for the same image quality, features and
flexibility in a lower-cost solution, Sharp also offers the XG-E3000U, a 600 ANSI lumen
Conference Series projector. Both XGA models incorporate Sharp's Intelligent ImageACE
Resizing, for compatibility with SXGA PCs and workstations, and for use in high-end
CAD/CAM digital imaging.
Sharp Conference Series projectors offer multiple RGB computer inputs (both 15-pin and
5-BNC), as well as S-Video and Line-Doubled Composite Video inputs (BNC connector). A
stereo amplifier and speakers are built-in, and line-out is provided for use with external
sound systems.
To ensure optimum image quality, brightness and reliability, both the XG-E3500U and
XG-E3000U use energy-efficient long-life metal halide lamps. These units, which can be
ceiling or table mounted as well as used for either front or rear projection, can project
images ranging in size from 40 inches to 40 feet (500 inches) measured diagonally.
The ergonomically designed infrared remote that comes with each unit combines projector
functions with wireless mouse control and laser pointer into one easy-to-use device. Users
can control important projector functions like zoom and focus, or computer mouse pointer,
from up to 40 feet away. These remotes offer not only IR "wireless," but also
"wired" operation for use in sophisticated boardroom, auditorium and house of
worship installations, as well as multiple projector displays such as video walls and
control centers.
The XG-E3500U is available now at a suggested list price of $11,995. The XG-E3000U also
is available now at a suggested list price of $8,995. Both of these projectors are backed
by a three-year limited warranty for parts and labor and are available through Sharp's
authorized network of Professional LCD Products dealers.
