1/3 the price of plasma and a 20X bigger 140" screen baby! Awesome machine.Bought a refurb w/1 yr warranty for $600.Well worth it.SOoo glad I did not buy a flat panel TV... THe pb2250 is very quiet and bright in a walk out basement with windows around 2300 lumens is plenty! Excellent color in "cinema" mode for movies.Economy mode=3000 hours! Having good air circulaiton can increase bulb life too.I recommend purchasing a "pivot ball" for $12 on ebay and constructing your own ceiling mount. Along with that you MUST buy a component to VGA adapter ($9 w/shipping on ebay) in order to enjoy the projectors progressive scan features..which is beuatiful in 480p and 720p. Also the 1080i is great for HDTV, but this projector does HD through the VGA in. But it is native 4:3, so if your picky about only having 16:9 aspect ratio get a projector made for TV/movies. I don't even use the s-video and composite...those connections are junk anyway for todays application...remember the bigger the screen-the easier you can notice poor quality-so use progressive with this machine.
