| Bought the projector in late October, and the lamp stopped lighting in mid-February. It was a wonderful replacement for my Infocus X1, which had finally died (after a great run) of color wheel failure. The brightness was great and it displayed HD very well. If the problem turns out to be the bulb and not the unit, I will be extremely angry with myself for not sticking with Infocus because they were right on with their bulb predictions. |

I am not 100 percent sure that I have the same exact issue, because when my "bulb blew" at just over 90 days, the lamp indicator did not turn red. Instead, I got a blinking green. Sharp techs said that it was probably the ballast. I have sent it for repair. If it is the bulb, then I will be cashing in my Circuit City warranty card. Unfortunately, a friend of mine read the fine print, and he thinks that it is only good for one bulb replacement. If that is the case, I will be buying a new projector and it will not be a Sharp.
I will update with Sharp's results. |
