Personal Experience
I bought this about one year ago, after spending some extensive time researching the different projectors in this price range. I have to say it is totally awesome! Wonderful picture, screendoor affect hard to notice if you are sitting at recommended distance. I have it set up to project a 100" screen. The lens shift capability helped so much in the setup. Also, whenever I rent a movie that's not in widescreen, its pretty easy to switch to optimum settings using the lens shift and zoom features. No rainbow affect, that I or any of my friends can see, and I've showed it off to a ton of people. Contrast is great as long as your watching in a dark room. All in all, a great projector and well worth the price. In a couple of years I'll upgrade to a 720 or 1080, but for now this is a great projector
Problems
Only encountered two problems with it so far. 1. On extremely hot days (95+ degrees) the projector will overheat and turn off. I fixed this by mounting a small, quiet fan, but simi-powerful fan behind the projector. And so far even when the temp hits over 100 degrees it works just fine and the fan is pretty quiet so it's good. 2. Maybe 3 or 4 months after purchasing it the power up button on the projector gives an error whenever I try to turn it on. not sure why it is, but I rarely turn it on that way anyways. I just use the remote, and haven't had any trouble doing it that way.
