| I’ve had my 739 since Jan 07. Out of the box the colors need to be adjusted. I used some of the suggestions that other users posted and it made a dramatic improvement. Adding a lot more blue seemed the main color I remember adjusting. Inputs: Component I used the component hook up at first for TV and DVD viewing and DVI for the PC. Watching anything through the component connections just looked bad and dark. My Dish is just standard def. DVI HiDef TV I watched through my PC via the DVI connection and that was fabulous using the custom color adjustments. I also started watching DVDs through the PC via the DVI and there was dramatic difference compared to a stand alone DVD via the component cable. I was starting to notice that everything looked better if I ran it through the PC using the DVI cable. I have an ATI HDTV video card with s-video inputs. I ran the Dish through that on the PC and the standard def TV finally looked good. Even composite looked good once the signal was unconverted through my pc and output via the DVI cable. -- Screen I have a dalite high power screen. I tried the standard screen, but I was disappointed on how dark the image was that came from video. Using a high power screen helped, but the picture looks best in a dark room. The blinking light Ha, ya there is a blinking light when it is off. It is only a distraction if you try to sleep on the couch with the projector off. It is really bright when the lights are off. Just don’t make the wife angry and it won’t bother you too much. Rainbows I don’t really see the problem that others have mentioned. At times there are some multi-color effect going on if you move your head around real fast, but I haven’t found it a distraction unless I’m shaking my head around. Conclusion I think this is a very good entry level projector. If you have standard def anything, I think it would look best to up-convert it to a DVI signal for best picture. |

| One time I’ve turned in on in the last 5 months and there was a snap sound and the bulb did not come on. The projector was acting like the bulb was bunt out. Once I unplugged the projector power for a few minutes, the bulb powered up. This really concerned me, but it has happened only once so far. |
