Personal Experience
Replaced my Infocus 4805 projector with this one. I had the Infocus for about two years no problems. I am very impress with the Optoma. I have waited for 4 months before writing this review. The Optoma has great picture quality and brightness is much better than the Infocus. I have a Projection System in my basement. The ceiling is low 7ft and it works great. I am projecting on a 93 in screen purchased from ebay. I watch DVD movies using a Sony upconverter DVD player. The movies look HD quality (HDMI cable purchased on ebay). Also, I watch TV both HD and reqular (Satellite Dish) using Componet cable (again ebay). I love it and my friends are very impressed. HDTV football games look like you are at the stadium. I have not noticed any rainbow or screendoor effect.

The unit was purchase new from Amazon.com for $756 after $200 rebate. Great Deal...do not be worried.... you cannot go wrong. Where can you purchase a total HD home theater system (Projector, screen, surround sound for about $1000 and have up to a 10 foot screen.
