| I've had this projector (actually, the Costco version DX605) for about a year. I got it for $800. It's been okay, but with the great bargains like the Marantz VP4001 these days, it's really starting to look poor. It's pretty bright, but contrast isn't very good. It's still better than most LCDs in contrast, though. I could never get the colors anywhere close to my CRT monitor (Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2070SB). The image thrown is very blurry; I bet a decent 480p projector can look sharper. Lots of color wheel noise though I never had any problem with that. The remote it comes with is horrible though I rarely touch it. Deinterlacing is horrible - even my PS2 was showing interlacing in simple things like selecting menu options in games. Maybe good for a spare room or taking to friends houses. Look elsewhere for serious use. |
