Personal Experience
So far I owned this projector for 4 months. It is a very quiet projector projecting very beautiful images. I have seen the HD talk shows (Late Night with David Letter.. and Jay Leno) and some HD news airing from my cable box and immediately I was blown away by the ultra sharpness and the gorgeous color saturation! These broadcast airing are the type that this projector gains its good reputation. Seeing that, I could not wait to get my HD players. I waited to buy a Toshiba 1080p HD-DVD player and the Sony 1080p (BDP S-300) player before posting this review. Within a month after buying this projector, I purchased these players and got to test my HD-DVD and Blu-Ray discs. Personally, I can not say that the image that comes out of these players come close to those of the 1080i talk shows/news (this may not be a fair judgment since one is a video medium and the other is a film medium). Still the 1080p images that come out from my HD Disc players are beautiful/top notch when comparing them to standard DVDs (480p). I noticed that HD discs differ in quality too, so if you want to test this projector’s beauty then I will recommend that you test it with Underworld - Evolution [Blu-ray] (2006) or Batman Begins [HD DVD]. As far as I can say this has been my best projector. I have owned the “In-Focus X1” and the “Optoma HD-72” projector. I can honestly say that it is worth every penny. My system goes as follow: Stewart Film Screen, model Ultra Mate screen. Bettercables.com’s HDMI cables and HDMI selector box. Toshiba HD-XA2 1080p HD-DVD Player. Sony BDP-S300 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player. Harmon Kardon receiver. Richard Gray’s Pole Pig.
