Personal Experience
I have had this projector for 5 months now, watching TV, DVDs, using the laptop and playing video games. The only complaint I have is being able to watch dark movies or dark tv shows. The contrast between greys and blacks 'melts' and it becomes hard to see. Otherwise this model is very good. The projector itself is fantastic for playing video games, watching regular tv or sports. It's very good with the laptop display in its native resolution of 1024x768 as well, though if you plan to use the max resolution of 1400x1050, it doesn't seem as sharp. Overall it's very good for the money, but if you plan to watch lots of dark movies you may want to see it in action first.

Problems
Hard to discern details in dark movies due to mediocre contrast with dark colors - tweaking the display settings didn't help too much.
