| Hi all! Great projector BUT... Here's my recommended solution to deal with their (%&**#%$%) bulb replacement policy. I have a working pj and wanted to have a spare bulb on hand. I'm well aware of the 90 day warranty so like most, I put the new bulb in service immediately and use the old one as the spare. Sure enough, 7 minutes into it's life...BOOM...or pop! Put the lod bulb in and all's good. Call sharp and they tell me I need to send the PJ and the bad bulb in. I guess people must have just accepted doing this as part of doing business with Sharp. Sorry, in Hawaii it'll cost me about $70 to send my PJ to them. Not going to happen. So this is your option to get them to repeal this stupid policy. Buy with credit card and if that bulb blows, call up Master Card or whoever and just do a charge back for defective product. Call Sharp's number, make a good faith effort (not one that's going to cost you a lot of bucks for their QA problems) and then do the chargeback and get another bulb from somewhere else. If you like, talk to your State's AG office as well. Sharp, you want the PJ too? Send an advance replacement and prepaid shipping. Why should we suffer the burden of your shoddy bulb purchasing decisions? GREAT PJ, Company policy/decision making ($^%^0)(is bad) though. |
