Personal Experience
Paid 799 on sale for this unit. I love it. I play xbox 360 90% of time, and kicks some serious ass. This is my first projector, and I realized there are some benefits to having a TV. But after you get used to the longer installation process, and having to control light in your room (i.e. buy curtains), there is no going back to TV. I bought a relatively cheap pull down screen, and the image quality is amazing. The only HD source I have is an Xbox 360, and the HD70 truly shines for videogames. My only complaint with picture quality is that sometimes, colors don't transition extremely smoothly due to the 8-bit color processing on this unit. Its rarely a complaint with videogames, but sometimes in movies it is noticeable. I am most impressed with how good 480p DVDs look on this unit... Im sure BluRay would be better,, but I honestly can't justify the extra expense when regular DVDs look so damn good. Overall, very happy with this unit, considering the price especially! I got the projector and an Elite Electric 100" screen for 950 before shipping and taxes. The value is truly unreal... people never believe me when I tell them how much I spent on it!

Problems
After about 1600 hours of use, my unit began to flash colors very brightly. I understand the color wheel or DLP engine failed. I had to ship the unit in for service, and it was still under the standard 1 year warranty. I had to pay to ship and insure the unit, at a cost of $30 for 5 day ground shipping. They over-night the unit back to you for free. All in all it took 12 days. The customer service was polite, but the actual process of getting your service number is overly complicated and needs some refining.
