Personal Experience
Bought this projector to be used for 3D gaming in combination with shutter glasses. This projector gives enough lumens to comfortably play video games in 3D through the 3D dongle and an inverter while using nVidia stereoscopic drivers. This is important because the glasses will reduce the image brightness by about half. With 2000 lumens, this projector works great during the day with curtains drawn, and at night I can watch movies with the lights on in the house. Sitting about 8-10 feet away from the screen I notice no pixilation. I was impressed with the color correction menu, and it has allowed me to adjust adequately. Because it's a data projector, colors will be muted to a point, but this is not noticeable unless you are staring at the source image on an LCD or CRT because the colors are all relative to each other. A Major point to make here is that there few projector models that have been tested for compatibility with stereoscopic projection and this is one that is known to work correctly. Even with the incredibly fast response required in gaming I have noticed no rainbow effect while playing. VERY stark black and white scenes in movies (such as animation) might give a slight rainbow effect, but this seems to occur only when the eye is moving too fast across the screen. No sound that I can hear sitting 5 feet away. This projector was the best purchase I have made in years! I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE anyone who buys this projector to also look into stereoscopic gaming. Nothing beats the immersion you feel while shooting bad guys in 3D on an 8 foot screen. Unfortunately it makes a lot of friends jealous. Shop around, this model can be found for cheaper than expected.

Problems
It is not easy to find this model as it has been discontinued according to the Optoma website? No problems encountered... my expectations were exceeded. If you are someone who is buying a movie projector though, and you're very into color correction, you'd do better with one of those super high-end expensive gigs that cost $3000+. If you want to impress friends, and have fun for cheap this is the best deal you will find.
