Personal Experience
I've had this projector for 3 months now and I'd say it was one of the best value for money deals I've ever had. After the $500 rebate I paid $1400 for my HC4900. This is my second projector after my Panasonic bit the dust after just over 2 years of use. The picture quality in HD is outstanding even in low lamp mode and the lamp is extremely quiet. I have a dedicated theater room and only use the projector when there's no ambient light. If you don't have a light controlled situation this projector may not be for you. My only complaints are the lack of keystone correction (which my Panasonic had) and SD picture is not so great though after watching HD any SD picture hurts the eyes.
