| This is my first and last Panasonic Projector; I chose the 200U because I didn't have the funds to go to 1080P just yet and the smoothscreen feature appealed to me because I was concerned about pixelation & screendoor. Overall the image was very good but the convergence was horribly off out of the box... the online merchant I purchased the projector did not allow any returns or exchanges without a signficant re-stocking fee and with Panasonic's warranty you have to ship the unit at your own expense to get it fixed. Also, the 'free 2nd year' warranty is stilled capped at 2,000 hours so for many people the extended warranty doesn't have any value. I've had my projector for 3 weeks, its been sent in for Warranty repair and should be back in about a week. |

| Bad Convergence out of the box Intermittent Purple/Green Flashing on the screen (AVSForum members report firm ware upgrade has fixed it for many owners) Picture dimming & brightening - Heartland (who does Panasonic's warranty work) says its due to the Econo-bulb mode so don't use that mode. I haven't seen dust blobs that others are reporting yet but my I ownly had my projector for 3 weeks before it had to be sent in for service. |
