Personal Experience
I was undecided between this projector and the Sanyo PLV-Z2000 and ended up purchasing both with the opportunity to preview them for 4 hours to make a decision. After about 3 hours of viewing I chose the Panasonic. While neither projector is clearly better than the other, I did think the Panasonic was a bit better in the areas that were most important to me, i.e., it has a bit better black levels, it is brighter in it comparable best viewing modes, the iris/fans are quieter and its colors are a bit better. The projector is very good in many of the most important areas. And with a 120" screen it is sufficiently bright to do the job in its best viewing modes whereas the Sanyo could only do the job in brilliant cinema mode but the unit pays the price in terms of heat production. I highly recommend the panasonic.
