| I have had this product for five years using it entirely for TV, movies, and games. It has taken on anything I have thrown at it with gusto from Std-Def to Hi-Def (up to 1080i). Regardless of the source the picture looked beautiful even in day light, no sever impact on color depth. No pixelation of any kind at any time even when viewed up close to screen. As a starter projector this was definitely worth every penny. |

| When you have the resolution set to auto and you go back and forth from a Hi-Def source to Std-Def there is to much lag time in display change. Same thing happens even if you are on a hi-Def station and a Std-Def commercial comes on output will take a while to adjust. You have to set specifically set resolution to 1080i for this not to happen, then again this is does not have that as native resolution. The main issue with this system is the cost of replacement lamps, $400 to $600 a pop and lamp lifetime. I have gone through several lamps that did not live up to the 2000 hr lifetime of daily use as they should have. The original lamp did in fact last 2 yrs with daily use with an average of 6 to 7 hours weekdays. Any where from 8 to 12 hours on weekends and holidays, it performed like a champ. All replacement lamps barely lasted over a year, the longest one I believe lasted 14 months before having to be replaced again. |
