I'm one of those unfortunate few who see the rainbow effects associated with dlp technology. A little concerned, I tried to find a lcd projector that matched the picture quality of the HT100, but no luck. Some came close (Epson TW100) but the murky lcd blacks were not acceptable to me.The picture of the HT1000 had a certain richness that the lcd projectors just couldn't match. Based on all the demos I saw, I decided to purchase the HT1000 even though I see rainbows. The contrast and black levels are outstanding and add great depth to the image. I will learn to ignore those quick glimpses of rainbows. NEC really did a fine job with this projector.

| The remote is really touchy. It took a while to get used to. |
