Personal Experience
I rented the Lt260 and watched it for three nights. I wanted to checkout a few units before spending $3000 or more on a projector. My setup was not ideal - no progressive DVD player and no screen. The projector was 15 feet from my wide screen bedsheet and created a 4x3 image that was 84 " diagonal. S-video images from my Sony S550 DVD player looked muddled ("Knock A Round Guys")on several movies. Only movies like the "The Fifth Element" and "Star Wars" looked decent. I used the VGA input with my laptop player to see the same movies and wow what a difference! The images were smooth, clear and vibrant. Computer images were very nice. Contrast on the Lt260 is excellent and the brightness is a little too bright. Econo-mode was a better setting. I will probably buy this unit (or Lt240) if the Optoma H56 doesn't sway me. For the price, the Lt260 is a good choice.

Fan noise was high. It's barely noticeable in econo mode.
