| Personal Experience |
| I was so pumped when I purchased this projector. I have an Optoma EP 750. This is a relatively good projector, but the problem I have with it is you have to break down walls just to get a 100 inch picture. I have mine at 14 feet from the screen and I only get a 79 inch picture. The lens suck. So I bought the Hewlett Packard where it boast there are 2000 lumens and 2000:1 ratio of contrast. LIE!!!! BIG LIE!!! I think not. When I opened my box and took out the projector it looked very impressive. It had a nice sleek design over the Optoma. When I ran to my basement to get it started I was conserned when I turned it on because the light output looked dull. When the projector opened up the lumens looked low. I can tell right away it wasn't 2000. My Optoma looks better. It only has 1600 lumens. The HP6120 picture is dull and annoying. The pixels are noticeable and the projector makes loud fan noise. I did the back and forth comparison with my Optoma to the HP, which I shouldn't had to do in the first place, but I did it, the Optoma was sharper and brighter. I did the comparison with the film "The Shining." The details were much vivid with the Optoma over the HP. My Optoma is 1600 lumens and has 600:1 LOL. The HP claims 2000 lumens and 2000:1. What a lie. I ended up returning the projector for a refund. Stay away from the Hewlett Packard Projectors. They aren't worth the buck. |
