| I have received this yesterday and hooked it up to my DVD player(YPbPr) and directly projected on a beige wall in the family room. I got about an 140 inch vieawable area. I was watching Shrek to test the colors. First ten minutes it blew me away. It was fantastic. Then I stopped watching the movie and start watching the pixels and realized that there is a pixelation problem whenever there is red or reddish colors. I resized the screen to about 100 inches it got less but still visible. I played around with menu lowered the color and increased the color temperature and got it to a minimum. I was a little disappointed thinking there is something wrong with the unit. Then I hooked it up to the PC via RGB. The problem with the red has dissappeared. No pixelation whatsoever. However when you are viewing the Word documents you can see the blurriness around the letters. But I knew that this was going to happen with DLP projectors. So that did not bother me. The conclusion I draw is that this unit is good to watch movies(DVD) and view pictures with a pps show connected to a PC. Not that good with static images. I have a 5 year old LCD Epson that is much sharper in static images but a dismal performer with movies. Free lamp promotion(if they do not deny my claim) was an essential point to make my point economically. |
