| After having a small problem with the H50, I managed to get an upgrade to the H56, therefore this review will mainly be a comparison between the 2 models. Let's put this straight, the H56 is much much much better than the H50 in every sense, and the price difference is totally worthwhile: - Less noisy (They are both rated as 32Db, which is not true, the H56 is much more silent). - Better scaling (changes resolution almost instantly whereas the H50 took around 20 second to rescale, and better results in non native resolutions). - Better menu (Loads of usefull options that were missing on the H50). - Much less heat coming from the fan (Annoying when you have the projector sitting behing you). - Stunning pictures (800:1 to 2000:1 in contrast + XGA) - Almost no light leakage compared to the H50. If you can afford the extra cash, go for the H56! Beside, it's imposible to see the loss of lumens in the 2 models (1000 for the H56 against 1200 for the H50). |

| Only put "average" for the reliability as i can't really tell at the moment. I didn't find the H50 very reliable (Whistling noises from the fans after 3 months). But for some reasons, the H56 looks much more reliable... Dunno why.... Time will tell... At the moment, no problems what so ever... Another thing is to take into account is, for some reason, the H56 is very poor in the video cables provided with (Only 2) whereas the H50 was provided with the whole package, plus a carrying bag. Therefore, please don't forget to includes the price for the cables in your budget if you go for the H56... A part from that, perfect! Best projector I have seen at the moment. |
