Personal Experience
I have had my Domino 20 for around 1 month and am delighted by my purchase.

What amazes me, however, is that after months of research (with regular reference to Projector Central), shortlisting and downloading manuals that the choice eventually cam down to only 3 projectors due to the fact that I wanted to throw an image onto my chimney breast of no more than 60" wide from a shelf on the wall directly behind my sofa at a lens to screen distance of 12'.

The 3 possibilties were the Domino 20, Infocus 5700 and Sharp XV-9000. The 5700 had to go once I had read the user manual and discovered that the lack of lens shift was going to severely limit my projecor and screen height options. The Sharp, although an amazing deal (at £3500 it was cheaper than the Domino!), is simply too big and that left the Domino 20.

Although I had read much about contract ratios the importance didn't really hit home until I had been using my projector for a while. With a quoted ration of 2000:1 the blacks look good but I am staggered how bright the screen appears in a darkened room when a scene has no content at all. As soon as images appear on the screen the sence of darkness withing the images returns. In the early days of my investigations I had considered a number of LCD models including the Sony HS10. These were ruled out on throw issues but I wonder how I would have lived with the contrast which on paper at least is considerably worse than the Domino.

Problems
The VGA input packed up after 1 week but the projector was replaced immediately.
