| I just purchased this because of the long delays with the new Sony HS20. The long throw on this unit was exactly what I needed, the reviews were good and being a Top10 recommended projector here made me feel confident to purchase it site unseen. Unfortunately, upon setting it up and watching a few DVD movies (from Sony's top of the line ES DVD player onto a 100" Stewart Firehawk screen) the image was blurry. Without component video available, you're stuck with S-Video or composite. The brightness was terrific (even with a good deal of ambient light), the ease of use and setup was wonderful, but the picture was far less than pleasing - almost blurry enough that it was uncomfortable to view without giving yourself a headache. Closeup of faces is really where the problem was aparent. Nevertheless, I'm sending it back and putting myself on the waiting list for the Sony HS20. I'm hoping for better luck. |
