| I've not experienced other hi-end projectors so can't compare it to others - but here is some useful advice: When using a PC to drive the projector... It's essential with a projector of this quality that you connect it with the DVI connector - you will notice an immediate improvement over the VGA connector. An even greater subjective improvement came when the PC's resolution was set to match the native resolution of the projector. My PC running at 1360x768 [ATI 9700AIW graphics + Powerstrip software] through the DVI connection results in a 100" display that is crisper than some analog computer monitors and as good as cheap LCD flatscreen monitors! It's truly a multimedia projector suited to being your primary PC display as well as your TV and for watching films without compromising anything. |

| -There is one always-on blue pixel. Annoying in dark scenes, but very few visitors notice the fault unless it's pointed out. -Second lamp was faulty, effectivly lasting only a week but got replaced under warrantly. First lamp lasted 1400 hours which is reasonable; lower light output was noticable for the final 50-80 hours of the lamp life. -Dust blobs appeared early on but I now clean the filters every 100 hrs of use. Despite me listing 3 problems above I could not be happier with my choice of projector. Stunning when setup corectly. |
