Personal Experience
Bang for buck is awesome. Can pick these up for cheap, thousands less than a plasma or lcd screen. For movies, nothing better. I have used for around 100 hours, very happy with it so far. Watched lots of films and used XBox and PC on it. Computer image is sweet and very bright. Contrast is pretty ordinary compared to crt tv, but for a first pj it is great. Fan noise is not a problem at all. Set up is easy. I project onto a white concrete wall (!) and it still looks great. Saving up $$ for screen though.

Problems
None at all, except screendoor is noticable a bit, although I am projecting from over 5 meters, zoomed a little, for over 100 inch picture. I sit back about 4 meters. I will try a DLP for my next pj i think.
