| I got this just recently for about U$600. Initially, i was having doubts about it because for a few hundreds more, I could get the entry level projectors like X1 etc. I bit the bullet and got one inspite of all the objections that the contrast levels is way low for a home theater application. They are all wrong because this baby projects a picture that is comparable to any high end plasma TV. It is very well constructed, heavy but very quiet. Has real glass but huge lens and can accomodate all inputs except DVI. The picture quality is just astonishing. Its bright, clear and very vibrant colors even with ambient light. Blacks should be better but that is basically the problem with LCDs. But overall, this is one excellent projector. Its not even remotely comparable to the low-end entry projectors that is coming out when it comes to build quality and versatility. Picture quality is topnotch. If you can get one used in ebay, get it and never look back. It will be money well spent. Make no mistake about it. This is a professional installation class XGA LCD projector. Not the more common, entry level, flimsy-constructed variety that is so popular at the moment. |
