Personal Experience
I Bought the projector a year a go when it was state of the Art. Out of the Box, the picture is okay, but if a CC filter is added, this unit becomes the best value on the market. It still won't boast the picture contrast of newer units, but you will pay half as much to get 90% of the way there. Overall, this is a great, quiet unit designed for ease of use and quiet operation.

Problems
Sony has had problems with quality control, and at times has been reluctant to fix problems. When purchasing make sure that the exchange policy allows you to return a unti that may be unacceptable because of color uniformity problems, obvious dead pixels, etc. If you can get a "good" one, this unit delivers outstanding picture quality
