| I got my first PLV-70 for ~1.5years ago. Within the first year it had been to Sanyo to get the light engine/blue panel replaced 3 times. The bulb burned up after ~700hours, showing the bubble mentioned here in other posts. On the fourth burn up, I had the place where I bought it swap it out for another. It has now burned up the blue panal again. Sanyo told me that I had the "only PLV-70 sold in the US that has had the over heating problem." Some how I don't believe that. I clean the filters every 10hours, and have never had the fan go into high speed after initial power on. The picture is abosultely beautiful, bright and clear. I love the power zoom, and lens shift it helps a lot with installation. When it works, it is great. |

| Light engine and blue panel burned up 4 times in the first year. The replacement projector has now burned up its first panel. Bulbs bubble and die early. |
