Personal Experience
I've owned this projector for one year. the picture quality is very good.Color is great and the contrast is exceptable. It is a very bright projector used in a darken room. I purchased this projector after reading several reviews mainly from projector central. This is the first projector that I have owned. I should have done more research. This unit is not used often and only for watching DVD's. It's been sent back to Sanyo twice for service because of spots on the screen. A tech tryed to advise that I did not have enough clearence for the air intake grills. When I explained to him the amount of space that was present, he could not give me and answer but just advised that it would be $600.00 to replace the green color panel. I contact the dealer who contacted a Sanyo Rep. I've also made several attempts to contact this rep. but he never returns my calls. In short, this project when working is very good but has a reliability issue. Sanyo needs to go back to the drawing board on this one. If they wanted to keep there customers happy and to bring in more business, they should figure out how to fix this problem that several buyers have seemed to have had and issue a recall. Projector Central should also take this unit off of the Best Home Theater Projectors List, not because of the picture but the reliability. Can you say Class Action Suit.

Problems
First purple spots, then large purple haze in center of the screen. "Sent Back." One month later same problem " Sent Back" Tech tried to CYA. Was told projecter was over heating and burned the green LCD panel and was 600 to replace. Received projector and still has a couple of spots, their just green now.
