Personal Experience
I got one of these for the amazing price of $650 and have been using it as a home theater projector. I love the short throw lens -- I didn't have a lot of space available, and this projector can produce large images without having to be across the room. The image is sharp, and the default color settings are reasonably accurate. A little tweaking with the Avia setup DVD and it's just about perfect. It handles 4:3 or 16:9 material well; I mostly watch DVDs and Playstation2 material on it, and it wows my houseguests every time. It's compatible with HDTV, so if I ever decide to get into that, I'm already set. Overall I've been very happy with my purchase.

Problems
I'd like a few more options in the setup to tweak the image, but it is sufficient.
