| After read a lot of reviews on this site and other sites about Panasonic PT-500 and Sanyo Z2,I decided on Sanyo Z2, mainly for the lens shift and 3-year warranty. I figured that the two projector are pretty much on-par with each other in terms of resolution, picture quality, etc. I bought the project about 2 months ago. The setup was easy thanks to the lens shift feature. The projector was set up in a dedicated HT room with dark walls, a 92-inch Dalite HCCV screen. The picture was stunning with great color. SDE is visible at normal viewing distance. I haven't seen any dust blobs yet. Vertical banding is there, although not bothering most of the time. I wish I didn't know what VB was. Now, I do, I tend to look for it. I tried the treaks on service menu. It helped some. At least now it doesn't bother me as much. Overall, it's great for the price. |

| Vertical banding that can be reduced with tweaks on service menu, but will still be there. If you don't know what VB is, then its best not to find out. |
